reno_gazette_journal.gifBILL O'DRISCOLL, RENO GAZETTE-JOURNAL (5/02/2008)-- More clean energy is rising in south Reno.  Galena 3, Ormat Technologies' newest geothermal plant at the Steamboat complex, is up and running. Together, officials say, the seven plants generate enough electricity to power Reno's residential needs.

On Monday, state leaders will join officials from Ormat and its chief customer, Sierra Pacific Power Co., to dedicate Galena 3, Ormat's final venture at the site near the Mount Rose Highway-U.S. 395 junction.
