    Shrimp consumption in Las Vegas is more than 60,000 pounds a day -- higher than the rest of the United States combined; it would take 288 years for one person to spend one night in every hotel room in Las Vegas; about 150 couples get married in Las Vegas each day; to drive from Los Angeles, California to Reno, Nevada the direction traveled is northwest; Samuel Clemens took the penname "Mark Twain" while a reporter working for the Territorial Enterprise in Virginia City, Nevada in 1862; the longest running show in Las Vegas is the Folies Bergere at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino -- it opened in 1959.
