katherine.jpgKatherine de Tristan Tait is the vice president and chief operating officer of the Nevada Tourism Alliance.  In this capacity she is responsible for managing all operational aspects of the association, coordinating communication, Web materials, event production and financial oversight.  Ms. Tait is also a partner in SENCE-Worldwide, a global importer of Eastern European products.


A native of San Francisco, Ms. Tait has resided in Henderson, Nevada since 2005, having lived in Phoenix, Arizona (1999-2005) and Paris, France (1990-1999) prior to relocating to the Las Vegas area.

As the former Vice President of the Genesis Group in Phoenix, Arizona, Tait was responsible for the daily operations of the company including project management, client relations, human resources and business development.  Tait provided the company’s clientele with overall strategic direction in all iterations of public relations, advertising, marketing, fundraising and media awareness.

Under Tait’s direction, the company was selected by the City of Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport to serve as the public awareness campaign coordinator for the Residential Sound Assistance Program, the campaign and project director for the state of Arizona’s Kidscare statewide media awareness campaign, Maricopa County’s Human Services Campus (the largest public-private partnership in the county’s history) as well as the National Association of Counties (NACO) annual conference (2004) hosted by Maricopa County.

Ms. Tait strongly believes in giving back to the community. In Phoenix, Ms. Tait served on the boards of the YMCA, the Phoenix Suns Night Hoops Charities and Sojourner Center.  She currently sits on the boards of the Southern Nevada YMCA and New Vista Community and works closely with many organizations both locally and nationwide including St. Therese Center, Susan G. Komen and Cystic Fibrosis.
