b_bible.jpgWilliam Bible, a Nevada native from Lovelock, serves as the President of the Nevada Resort Association the oldest and largest gaming association in the world.  He has held this honorable position since October 1999.  Prior to that, Mr. Bible was the Chairman of the Nevada State Gaming Control Board from 1988 to 1998, overseeing the state’s 2,300 gaming licensees. 

He served the state in a variety of financial management capacities prior to his assumption of office as the chief of gaming enforcement and regulation, including, director of the state department of administration, director of the legislative division of fiscal analysis and deputy budget administrator. 


Mr. Bible has a B.A. in history from Stanford University (1967) and an M.B.A. from the University of Nevada, Reno (1971) with emphasis on capital budgets, resource allocation, portfolio management, and general financial administration. 


He was appointed to the prestigious nine-member National Gambling Impact Study Commission by President William Jefferson Clinton in 1997 to study all aspects of legalized gambling in the United States.  The Commission completed its work in June 1999.
